C.N.C. MACHINING AREA 

C.N.C. Machining Center

PREINSA features C.N.C. milling machines (OKUMA, FADAL, DECKEL, MASEK) C.N.C. Lathes (OKUMA, FADAL, DECKEL, OMNI, MILLTRONICS) and Swiss Lathes (CITIZEN-CIMCON) for high-volume production. In addition, the company has cylindrical and flat rectifiers, as well as conventional milling machines and lathes.

OKUMA Milling Machines

PREINSA has OKUMA milling machines with the following specifications:Preinsa Okuma

  • Maximum RPMs:  15,000
  • Tools:  ATC -32
  • Axles:  3 (X, Y, Z)
  • Batch size:  As required by each customer

MAZAK  Milling Machines

PREINSA just bought a MAZAK VCU 500A-5X (Five Axis Milling Machine)Preinsa MAZAK

  • 5 Axis Simultaneous Trunnion Rotary Table
  • Maximum RPMs:  12,000
  • Tools: ATC 30 CAT40
  • X-Axis travel: 20" Y-Axis travel 20"
  • Big Plus Type Hi-Press Coolant Thru Spindle
    System
  • Batch Size: As required by each customer

Other milling machines

We also have FADAL and DECKEL milling equipment with the following specifications:Preinsa Fadal CNC

  • Maximum RPMs:  7,500 to 10,000
  • Tools:  ATC -21
  • Axles:  3 (X, Y, Z)
  • Batch Size:  50 pieces minimum batch size, less if the parts are complex.

 C.N.C. Lathes Machines

The company has lathes such as OKUMA, DECKEL, OMNI and MILLTRONICS with the following specifications:

  • Maximum RPMs: 6,000 to 7,200
  • Tools:  ATC -21
  • Axles:  2 (X, Z)Preinsa Other Machinery
  • Batch Size:  200 pieces minimum batch size, less if the parts are complex.  For high-volume parts, the batch is 500 plus.

Tolerances:

Our normal machining tolerances are up to ±0.005 mm or ±0.0002".   For special applications PREINSA will quote and produce parts requiring even higher tolerances.

DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING DEPARTMENT

The Mechanical Design Department develops the prototype required by our customers with the computing tool Inventor™.  Inventor™ allows our design department to apply our customers’ specifications to the prototype.  We also use EdgeCAM™ to simulate the machining process to provide accurate quotes.  These tools allow PREINSA to conduct an effective production process enhancing our response time and quality to our customers.
